What do you get when a pug builds a bar on an asteroid and invites 8 unruly fighters to battle it out in real-time? You get Furious Fightpub—a mobile-first, cross-platform multiplayer brawler where chaos meets comedy!
Developed at Gentlymad (until we had to pause it for Pizza Connection 3), I had the pleasure of handling the gameplay programming, bringing a batch of weirdly wonderful characters to life in 3D, and designing the levels where all the madness took place. Each fighter had its own personality, look, and animation quirks—because in space, even the bar fights get weird.
As part of my Master’s thesis, I created four standalone mobile minigames, each centered around one of the game’s characters. The idea? Let players meet the gang early and hype up the core experience through fun little side adventures. It was a crazy, creative sandbox of cross-promotion.
Furious Fightpub was ambitious, hilarious, and cross-platform from day one—built to work on Xbox, Android, iOS, and desktop platforms. Even though it’s on hold, it remains one of my most fun and creatively rich projects.
